Open SCAG Committee Position

OCCOG appoints 12 county representatives to SCAG Committees. On April 25, 2017, Councilmember Trish Kelley and Mayor Cecilia Hupp were selected by the OCCOG Board of Directors to serve on SCAG Committees.

There is currently 1 vacancy, due to the resignation of Councilmember Bert Hack of Laguna Woods.  OCCOG is seeking interested elected officials from OCCOG member jurisdictions to serve on a SCAG committee. Representatives serve for the duration of their time as an elected official, as long as their organization continues to be a member of OCCOg in good standing, and a member of SCAg in good standing.  Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at SCAG's office in downtown Los Angeles.  Letters of Interest for this vacancy were due June 16. OCCOG solicited interest from potential candidates via directly emailing City Clerks and City Managers as well as an email newsletter and posting on this website. A letter was received from Council member Ross Chun of Aliso Viejo. Councilmember Chun will be appointed at the August 24, 2017 meeting of the OCCOG.
